Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas - Wed 1st August
Sheena Wellington
Just a quick reminder about the Friends of Wighton's Alasdair Fraser/Natalie Haas event on Wednesday 1st August at 1pm. Tickets are going fast for the Lunchtime Concert (1pm Wighton Heritage Centre, Central Lib). Although we have the fiddlers for the masterclass, there are still places for two or three cellists. There will be plenty of room for other players to watch and learn as that will be in the Steps Theatre and an informal session may well follow the Masterclass!
See the gig list for more information!
Thanks to those who came and apologies for the late starting of the Masterclass.
The plan was that Alasdair & Natalie would arrive from Peebles around 12, have a good lunch and be fine for the whole afternoon.
Unfortunately, they got slightly lost in the city (and who can blame them with roadworks being Dundee's growth industry) ending up on the wrong side of the river. Thanks to Karen on the mobile they did get to the Wellgate where they had about five minutes to tune before the concert started. And it was superb, btw!
They were nearly fainting with hunger by the time it finished so had to be fed before they could get going again. If you couldn't stay we do apologise and if you need a refund just get in touch!
