Irish jig set and Stewart on the pipes last night in the fish 13th july 07

Some excellent music got played last night. I have added a couple of videos to prove it. have a look in the music page here. Can anybody identify the Irish jigs? What were the tunes Stewart played on the pipes?

Further still I have to post this image of Lucy and ROZ doing a tourist board pose for the fish. Lucy is now away on her sodjurn to the USA so here is a happy pic to remind her of the fish

And whilst I am on this topic I have also added a video from the days when digital cameras were new. The days when mobile phones were the size of battering rams used break into castles. we were only playing a "A glass of beer" but can you identify who is there looking so much younger, Mike, Derek, Ian, Babara and what is that awful thing under my nose????? It is great to see the old tar still looked down upon us then as he does today.. have look for the file sessionmovie2 on the music page

Pipe Set:

1. Aird Ranter's (as Strathspey) - By Fred Morrison
2. Aird Ranter's (as Reel) - obviously still by Fred
3. Break Yer Bass Drone - Gordon Duncan
4. Last one tacked at the end - Sorry - forgot (shame on me!)

On the other hand shame on you Paul - We learned Aird Ranter's in David's whistle class!

The first jig is a tune called Seanamhac Tube Station, which was written by John Carty. Check his playing out here (there is an introduction before the tune proper starts - wait for it!):

Here is the dots:

This is another example of his quite superb playing. Check out his bowing:

The second tune is Jim Ward's jig.
