New Session in the Speedwells - Dundee

Well, having been immersed in exams and house renovating, I'm finally turning some attention back toward the all important music! I'm really pleased to say that Alistair (Cassidy) has taken a lead in getting a great new session going up town in Mennie's (or the Speedwells if you prefer) - cheers Alistair. Its an Irish and Scottish tune session which has now had its 4th successful week. We are enjoying great support from the Landlord, Jonathan, and the locals seem to like it. We are lucky enough to have happened upon Helen Forbes' local too, so it's been good to have music from her traditional Irish and Mary Bergin sets to increase the repertoire. We've had new faces every week, and with it a great variety of different Scottish and Irish tunes, which is spot on - long may that trend, and this session, continue!
